The admission to any MBBS college in India is based on the marks obtained in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test). On a merit basis, the college is decided for the students.

The eligibility criteria to appear in the exam is a score of 50% in class 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The minimum age to appear in the exam is 17 years.

B.Sc Physiology (Bachelor of Science in Physiology)

 

B.Sc Honours Physiology is a three years undergraduate course. The program involves specialisation in physiology and life sciences. Other subjects like Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, etc., are also included in the course. The course can be pursued after completion of class 12 from a recognized board. The course provides complete knowledge about animal and plant physiology.

B.Sc Industrial Microbiology (Bachelor of Science in Industrial Microbiology)

This is a two years course involving many disciplines. The students may also require expertise in other subjects such as molecular biology, Biochemistry, and bio-engineering for a complete understanding of the subject.

New products such as vaccines, antibiotics, organic chemicals, and other products useful in the food and beverage industry, health care, and agriculture are developed and discovered by microbiologists.

B.Sc Pathology (Bachelor of Science in Pathology)

This is a three years course, and admission to the course is mainly based on the marks obtained in class 12. The eligibility criteria are that the student must be at least 17 years of age and has a medical stream in class 12. Top institutes offering the course include Magadh University, Hawabagh Women’s College, Rama Medical College, Rama University, etc. 

This course is an excellent opportunity for students who want a career in the medical line. The students become highly skilled in the laboratory techniques as they advance towards the end of the course.

This branch is about the action of pathogens on the body of the host and the response of the host towards the pathogen. Different diseased conditions and their diagnosis is taught in this course. 

There are several employment options after the completion of this course. One can be recruited in different hospitals, health care centers, or pathology labs. The major job profiles include Pathologist, Data Analyst, Research Analyst, Lab Technician, Teacher, and several others.
