It’s a roller coaster of joyous highs (“They’re bringing me back in!”) and stomach-churning lows (“What did I just say?”).
To get through it with your sanity intact, you need to keep your emotions in check. Otherwise, you’ll ride the waves up and down on a daily or even moment-to-moment basis. This can take its toll even if you’re only pursuing one opportunity. If you’ve got several on the table, you can bet 100% you’re going to feel wrung out.

All of your work perfecting your resume and cover letter, giving the right interview answers, asking the right questions, and sending the right thank-you note will be worth it in the end once you’re settled into your new, amazing, and well-deserved role.
