Position Objective
The Accountant, APAC will work closely with APAC and Global Finance team to provide support to ensure APAC and Global Finance goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with Artivion's mission and core values. You will be required to comply with APAC and company-wide accounting procedures and with generally accepted accounting procedures during the process of preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing descriptive or supporting schedules, and working on special projects as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1) Ensure timely and accurate month end close for Artivion Asia Pacific and its affiliates
- Prepare month end journal entries
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations
- Perform review of management report to determine if reclasses, accruals and/or any other adjustments are necessary
- Perform monthly actual to budget variance analysis
- Liaise withoutside accountants for monthly accounts
- Perform reconciliation with vendors/customers on outstandings and inventory
2) Timely external reporting (local and group) for Artivion Asia Pacific and its affiliates
- Prepare schedules for statutory audit, tax filings, any other audit or examinations as necessary
- Ensure statutory filing are completed within stipulated timeline
3) Management Accounting
- Provide support and review of operating plan, estimates and forecast
- Prepare monthly management report to APAC commercial team to track business performance
4) Adhoc projects
- Liaise with Kennesaw Finance team to complete the regular closing process.
- Assist with filing and other projects such as: assisting in performing annual inventory or fixed asset counts, performing SAP testing for process improvement, and other ad hoc projects as identified
- Any other responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- Mid-career professional with 5-8 years of finance and accounting experience. Regional experience in healthcare industry is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and experience with Word and Powerpoint required
- IT savvy with ability to pick up system knowledge within short period of time. Experience with SAP and/or Workday Adaptive is a plus
- Ability to work well independently with good time management
- Self-motivated with positive attitude towards learning, dedicated and committed to a high standard of excellence
- Resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity
- Agility to adapt to the changing needs of the organization due to rapid growth and a constantly evolving industry
- Meticulous and detail oriented, possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills
