Overview
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate management of our financial information in the company's financial systems. You will report to the company's Head of Finance and be responsible for handling all financial transactions of our Hong Kong-based company. This role can be performed from our locations in Bangkok or Hanoi, and remote locations in Asia.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Cross-checking supplier invoices against the information recorded in our Tourplan system and working with our internal teams to adjust any errors.
- Inserting supplier invoices in Xero and Tourplan.
- Preparing payments in our bank applications to pay our suppliers.
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare monthly invoices for our customers based on the information in our Tourplan system, working with our internal teams to adjust any errors.
- Record invoices sent to our customers in both our Tourplan and Xero systems.
Reconciliation, Audit, and Fixed Assets
- Reconcile our bank transactions in the Xero accounting system.
- Insert both receipts (A/R payments) and cheques (A/P payments) in our Tourplan system.
- Assist the Head of Finance in preparing the annual audit with our auditors.
- Manage the company's fixed assets and run monthly depreciation and amortization tasks in Xero.
Human Resources
- Execute payroll for our remote employees.
- Assist the Head of Finance to support our employees in remote locations with other human resource matters.
Qualifications
Where you do not meet the requirements below, please be prepared to demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Prior accounting experience in a multi-national company.
- Prior accounting experience handling cross-border transactions preferred.
- Team-oriented attitude and attention to detail.
