Responsible for overseeing all aspects of architectural design and planning, from conceptualization to completion, guiding projects through every stage, ensuring adherence to design standards, codes and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design efforts, including conceptualization, schematic design, design development and construction documentation.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into viable architectural solutions.
- Develop and present design proposals, including sketches, drawings and 3D models, to communicate design intent effectively.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on building materials, construction techniques and sustainability practices.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations and coordination with consultants.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, resolve issues and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Mentor and supervise junior architects and interns, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in architecture and design.
- Collaborate with project managers to establish project timelines, budgets and resource allocations.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and project team members to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Registered Architect with a valid license to practice architecture.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations and construction standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality architectural projects on time and within budget.
- Experience working on a variety of project types, including commercial, residential, institutional, and/or mixed-use developments.
