The Company
The organisation is a noted, highly successful developer and operator of leisure and entertainment venues. It will shortly embark upon a new, dynamic, multi-phased, large-scale urban and integrated resort development in Bangkok. This will be a very long-term development most likely consisting of hotels, retail, F&B, theatre, theme park and many additional leisure & entertainment attractions. As a result, the firm will build a corporate team including an immediate requirement for an experienced Project Co-ordinator / Planner to steer multiple projects across the resort.
The Position
Reporting to the Group Head of Design & Planning, the appointed individual will be focused toward project co-ordination and project execution across the integrated resort. The role will execute project planning and consolidated project and program reporting across all business units whilst assessing project deliverables (and associated risk / mitigation). There may be some direct responsibility for project delivery whilst remaining alert to any business process changes that may impact project execution across the resort. As such, the appointed individual will understand the end-to-end of the development masterplan, the dimensions of each project to be executed whilst ensuring the updated integrity of the program, including the provision of project-related inter-department communication across each business unit and key stakeholders. Key deliverables will include the timely delivery of appropriate design solutions and associated budget and the upholding of corporate quality standards; additional KPIs will relate to the effective management of external parties (consultants, asset operators and similar).
The Person
Interested candidates will offer at least 10 years experience in urban planning, hospitality/leisure and project management with at least 5 years hands-on project management experience across hospitality/leisure projects of various size and complexity including responsibility for site analysis, authority approvals, budget management, design and construction co-ordination and project scheduling. A strong grasp of the Thailand market is essential whilst an ability to successfully operate within a multi-cultural environment is also important. As such, communication and presentation skills must be strong including an ability to influence at all levels of the project development team. Aside from native Thai, a strong written and verbal proficiency in English is essential whilst Chinese would be advantageous (although not essential).
