Bar Manager - Thai

Bar Manager.responsible for the management of all aspects and functions of the bar outlets, in accordance with the Soho House's standards.

Your main function is to ensure that you serve and run the bar efficiently and that the customer has the best possible experience. You are also responsible for the success and development of the bar staff.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Complete a comprehensive Manager in Training program that covers all the ins and outs of running a successful unit
  • Train, manage and motivate a crew of pros to consistently serve up amazing services
  • Support the success of your unit by keeping customers happy, complying with Soho House procedures and keeping productivity up and costs down
  • Creating a welcoming environment for customers
  • Leading a small team of bar staff by example, pitching in to help with drink mixing or table service where necessary.
  • Managing stock control with inwards goods and sales via system.
  • Ensuring consistent, high-quality beverages are served to customers
  • Dealing with customer feedback and providing adequate solutions to customer complaints
  • Creating a positive work environment for staff and encouraging their career development
  • Checking, distributing and replacing, if necessary, all printed matter, floral arrangements and other decorations in the bars
  • Monitoring inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock.
  • Overseeing the cleanliness of staff and the physical bar area and paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations
  • Organizing, managing and motivating all service staff in the bars
  • Taking monthly stock, as per company's instructions
  • Ensuring that all service staff is continuously trained
  • Organizing, supervising and providing active support of all food & beverage activities
  • Performing various preparatory duties prior to and at the end of the season
  • Bringing ideas to the team for themed nights, drinks menus and social ideas.

Our ideal candidate for this position:

  • Solid written and verbal English & Thai communications skills
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • 3+ years full service, upscale bar / restaurant management experience
  • Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service.
  • Excellent self-presentation.
  • Excellent in service-minded, good personality
  • Enthusiastic to learn and open-minded
  • Works under pressure and being leadership
