About the Role - The BOM Specialist creates and maintains accurate and consistent multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM) and is actively involved with the plant operations to help explain material usage variances and explain cost changes.

Responsibilities

1. Create new Bill of Materials (BOM) with routings in the ERP system as well as coordinate changes to existing BOMs
2. Coordinate with various departments, i.e., Marketing, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Planning, to keep informed of new BOM's or BOM changes
3. Communicate with designers to ensure correct interpretation of design documentation
4. Investigate identified implementation issues and process feedback to update BOM files
5. Communicate issues and/or project status to stakeholders in various levels of the organization
6. Assist in developing and implementing effective tools, processes, and procedures to support the BOM Specialist and other functional areas in ensuring the accuracy of BOMs
7. To ensure accuracy in our processes, it's crucial to cross-check BOM and routing with actual usage, collaborating closely with departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, R&D engineering and Production
8. Maintain and continually update crucial master data associated with the supply chain to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout our operations.
9. Maintaining and regularly updating the BOM forecast in the ERP system ensures the accuracy and reliability of data

Qualifications

Knowledge/ Experience:

• Solid BOM routing experience
• Be competent in materials management, supply chain fundamentals and manufacturing

Skills and Abilities:

• Advance troubleshooting and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• SAP is advantage
• Analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of ISO9001,14001,45001

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related preferred
