Job brief
We are seeking a Business Analyst who plays a crucial role in a company's sales team by providing valuable insights, data analysis, and support to enhance sales strategies and performance. The specific job duties may vary depending on the organization, but generally, a Sales Analyst is responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify sales trends, patterns, and opportunities. Utilize statistical methods and tools to draw meaningful insights from sales reports, and competitor & market analysis.
- Forecasting: Develop sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors. Assist in setting sales targets and goals for the sales team.
- Reporting: Generate regular sales reports and dashboards for management and sales teams. Communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to help the team understand their performance. Prepare Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly/ Quarterly Sales Reports for GM.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Provide analysis and recommendations based on market research to support sales strategies.
- Sales Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives. (Sales Efficiency, Sales performance record. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to optimize sales performance.
- Sales Planning: Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategic plans and initiatives. Provide input on pricing strategies, product positioning, and market segmentation.
- Database Management: Maintain and update customer databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. Use CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems to track and manage sales activities.
- Communication: Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to gather relevant data and insights. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and understandably.
- Training and Support: Support Training Manager to train the sales team on tools, processes, and data interpretation. Offer insights to help the team improve their sales strategies and achieve targets.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, statistics, computer science or a related field.
- Male / Female not over 35 years old.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential. Sales Analysts need to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Microsoft sheet, SQL, and data visualization tools, Power BI.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis software can also be beneficial. 3-5 years experience in sales forecasting and the ability to identify patterns and trends to predict future sales results.
- Effective communication skills are essential for presenting findings and recommendations to the sales team and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams, marketing, and other departments to gather relevant data and insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and provide innovative solutions. Meticulous attention to detail is crucial when dealing with large datasets to ensure accurate analysis.
- Conducting market research to identify opportunities and threats and staying informed about industry trends and consumer behaviour.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales automation tools, and other technology used in the sales process.
