Job Description

Porla is the Regional Distributor for Nordaq Water Filtration Systems. Nordaq is the sustainable solution for premium water, used by many of the world's top chefs and sommeliers. This Swedish solution makes water taste like water, and everything else tastes as intended. The Nordaq filtration system is an environmentally sustainable, cost-effective alternative to single-use water products. Water is filtered and bottled in reusable glass bottles on-site, eliminating transportation. Today, Nordaq's premium water is offered in restaurants and hotels in over 32 countries.

Since launching Nordaq in Singapore in 2016, the company has quickly established a strong foothold among high-end restaurants across the region, including Odette, Gaggan Anand, Tippling Club, Zn by Frantzn, Nouri, Artemis Grill and JAAN. In addition, Nordaq is served in a range of casual establishments like Le Bon Funk, Esquina and Providore.

The system is also the perfect sustainable water solution for hotels with Raffles Hotel (SG), Mandarin Oriental The Landmark (HK), Grand Hyatt (SG), Four Seasons (SG & HK), Capella Hotel (SG), and The Warehouse Hotel (SG) all currently serving Nordaq as their preferred and sustainable water solution in their properties, to mention some Asian customers only.

The Role

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving business and sales growth for Nordaq's sustainable water systems in high-end restaurants and hotels across Thailand. This position is primarily focused on new business development. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies focusing on new sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate and manage leads, selling to high-end restaurants and hotels.
  • Actively search for and visit potential clients.
  • Research new market opportunities to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Negotiate contracts with new and existing clients.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Support admin team with payment collections.
  • Provide client support and promote products/services.
  • Train customers to enhance their dining experience and maintain client relationships and manage service jobs.
  • Represent Nordaq at relevant events.
  • Assist with installations and service requests.
  • Understand technical aspects to train and troubleshoot.

Ideal Profile

  • You possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field and have 5+ years of experience in Business Development, preferably with significant work done within the HORECA industry.
  • You have a proven track record in negotiating and closing deals and a strong customer orientation.
  • Proficiency in English is required to sell to high-end restaurants and hotels. Fluency in additional languages like Mandarin, French, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM systems (SalesForce, Pipedrive) is a plus.
  • You are proactive, can work independently, with a systematic work style, and can prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments.
