Responsible for overseeing financial reporting, analysis and compliance activities. Also will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving sound financial decision-making to support the organization's objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management, board of directors and stakeholders, supporting decision-making and long-term planning.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis and trend analysis to identify key performance indicators, risks and opportunities.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, collaborating with department heads and senior leadership to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations and reporting requirements, including the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and VAT/GST returns.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities and regulatory agencies, coordinating audit processes and responding to inquiries or requests for information.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures to safeguard assets, mitigate risks and ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate governance guidelines.
- Lead or participate in special projects, initiatives or system implementations related to finance and accounting, driving process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Mentor, train and supervise junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Make CMA Statements and be acquainted with financial reporting to lenders.
- Knowledge of NBFC reporting and filings with RBI.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from a recognized professional accounting body.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance and auditing roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a medium to large-sized organization or Multinational Corporation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and create financial models.
- Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Willingness to stay updated on developments in accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory requirements.
