Oversees the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to clients/departments as they work with and understand these processes. Directs accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution. Supervises other Finance and Accounting employees in areas relating to general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers and related reporting.
Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting: Oversees and manages all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger, income, taxation and accounts payable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepares accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develops and manages budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Tax Compliance: Ensures compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Internal Controls: Establishes and maintains strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Team Leadership: Leads and manages a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and identifies and mitigates financial risks.
- System Implementation and Maintenance: Oversees the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
- Financial Analysis: Analyzes financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential problems.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicates effectively with management, board members, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in Finance at the Supervisory level in 4- or 5-star hotel. (Preferably in a 5-star hotel).
