Commercial Manager (Freight Forwarding)

A client of mine is expanding their regional freight forwarding business and is looking for a dynamic Commercial Manager with freight forwarding background to drive growth and build strong client relationships in Thailand.

This position will be based in Thailand, so fluency in both Thai and English is essential for effective communication with local business partners.

You will report directly to the General Manager located in the Thailand office, and your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee a specific sales region to optimize revenue generation and achieve set sales objectives while formulating and executing a commercial plan.
• Drive personal and team sales performance through regular regional outreach and enhance the effectiveness of the Freight & Project Forwarding Team to boost conversion rates and streamline processes.
• Engage in proactive business development activities, fostering relationships with potential clients and showcasing the companys services across both established and emerging market sectors.
• Manage the Freight & Project Forwarding operations within the region, expanding the vendor network and nurturing strategic partnerships that align with business offerings.
• Collaborate with the Key Account Management team to handle quotes, source services, manage profitability, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in commercial management and sales at a managerial level in the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs in Thailand.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
