Responsibilities
- Understand customerâs requirements and challenges and able to propose innovative data platforms and architecture that meet requirements and efficient.
- Lead, design and build effective data pipeline and data consumption architecture on data platforms e.g. enterprise data warehousing, data mart, data lake, and big data; either on cloud or on premise.
- Have skill and experience to design, build and operationalize data platforms for customers using services from Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP or on-premise data solutions
- Have skill and experience in ETL processes using ETL tool or SQL scripting.
- Design and review data models that meets customers requirements and industry best practices.
- Deliver business and technical engagements related to data with internal and external stakeholders e.g. sales, solution sales and technology/service partners and customers. This includes participating in business development, understanding customer requirements, presenting solutions, developing required materials, responding to RFP/RFI, and creating data products and applications.
- Lead the data engineering team technically in providing scalable, reliable, accurate and efficient data platforms for our customers and BE8 data platforms.
- Work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership to build BE8 businesses with data platforms.
- Collaborate with technology partners to build BE8 business and enable BE8 team and customers to learn and use new technologies and tools.
- Stay current on the technology, tools, and approaches in the cloud data warehouse/Big Data/Data Lake space.
- Ensure self and team assignments are achieved on time with quality, accuracy and relevance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in related functions.
- Solid understanding of at least two of the following areas: Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, Data Mining, Machine Learning and Data Management.
- Problem solving and decision making skills.
- Communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in understanding and analyzing data using analytics tools such as Python, R, SAS, Alteryx, SPSS, or others.
- Skills in programming languages such as SQL, Scala, TensorFlow, Pandas, C and Java.
- Able to work under pressure and with time limitations.
