Database Administrator Specialist

Job Descriptions:

• Plans and coordinates the administration of RDBMS databases to ensure accurate, appropriate, and effective use of data, including database definition, structure, documentation and operational guidelines
• Install, configure, upgrade and migrate the database server on On-premise and Cloud solution
• Monitor database performance, identify problem and system performance tuning of database server
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
• Responsible for development scripts to maintain databases
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery feature of database server
• Design and implement data archiving policy and process
• Design backup and recovery database policy and process
• Develop SQL script, schema design, code review and SQL query tuning
• Control access permission, privilege and security
• Be available for on-call, e-mail support as needed

Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
• Experience in managing and maintaining SQL Server at large scale and advance feature
• Knowledge in RDBMS Product or SQL language
• Experience in SQL Server, MS SQL, MongoDB
• Experience in Hive, Presto is a plus
• Experience in UNIX and Windows operating system
• Able to work overtime at customer sites
• Able to work effectively both as part of a team
• Positive attitude
• Self-study from text document and able to adapt and learn under fast changing environment
• Good personal skill for reading and speaking English. Chinese is a plus.
