Job Description
Our Deal Strategy & Value Creation professionals help businesses in developing and executing their strategies to create value. We provide a range of services to our clients, including commercial due diligence, market entry assessment, strategy assistance, integration & separation support, restructuring and turnaround, as well as value creation assessments to identify opportunities to improve EBITDA and cash flow - in relation to acquisitions, disposals, public bids/mergers, joint ventures, buy-outs, market entries, financing and other transactions.

Responsibilities
As part of our team, Associates & Senior Associates are expected to work across all our services. Key responsibilities will vary from project to project but typically will include:
- Evaluate markets, assess market size, growth, segmentation and overall attractiveness, customer / expert interviewing, and assess strengths and weaknesses of market players
- Work on broader deal strategy and market entry/growth advice, including hypothesis development
- Review or assist in the development of business models including market forecasts, competitor share forecasts, evaluating synergy and cost saving opportunities, and product/service improvements
- Perform research and commercial & financial analyses on assigned topics, identifying potential red flag issues and feedbacking so-what findings
- Analyze target/client company data to rapidly identify value creation opportunity hypothesis across the end-to-end business, as well as undertake process walkthroughs with clients to validate, refine and quantify value creation hypothesis
- Review and analyze historical cash flows and develop forecast cash flow analysis
- Undertake day-to-day client or target or key stakeholder interactions around interviews, opportunity hypothesis as well as to manage data flows and support overall management of projects
- Assist in the planning, development and execution of initiative work plans, identify improvement areas, and identify/escalate/resolve issues
- Work as part of a project team to assist clients in executing tasks across multiple functions (including Finance, Supply Chain, HR, etc.) and within a Project Management Office.
- Help create concise and high-quality end deliverables, such as reports, presentations, proposals, or discussion materials, to KPMG clients
Qualifications
- New graduate up to 4 years of experience in corporate strategy, business planning, commercial due diligence, market assessment, or consulting / professional services.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in business administration (i.e. finance, accounting, marketing, management), numerate or analytical disciplines such as economics, engineering, and mathematics, or the equivalents preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with familiarity with other data analytics tools highly regarded
- Commercial awareness with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity, healthy skepticism, creativity, and attention to detail; with ability to lead tasks
- Able to analyze both financial and non-financial information to formulate views and recommendations. Good analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Thai, highly motivated and able to learn and succeed in a fast-paced and international environment
