Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Architecture (preferred) or Interior Design.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the design & delivery of high-end hospitality interior projects for leading global brands & operators.
- Minimum of 5 years experience at Design Director level with major consultancy, with hospitality design specialisation.
- Outstanding executive presence, with strong communication skills at C-suite level.
- Excellent network of decision-makers & executive-level contacts with Owners & Operators.
- Professional certification with LEED, Green Building, or other globally recognised sustainability body is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Participate fully in the Companys business development efforts. Provide a comprehensive list of established & credible professional contacts Owners, Developers, Operators & Consultants - who the Company may approach with regard to generating new business, and make all necessary introductions.
- Keep constantly abreast of relevant pipeline projects in target regions, and be responsible for lead-generation & all follow-up, including assisting in the preparation of consultancy proposals in response to RFPs received, and pursuing bids to their conclusion.
- Attend business development meetings, independently or along with the Managing Director, record the details of all discussion, and follow up as appropriate.
- Regularly update the Companys contact list and CRM with all new contacts made during the course of your employment, and with all business development activities & onward action items.
- Introduce highly talented candidates for the Companys consideration for recruitment.
- Act as mentor to the supporting staff assigned, and to the Companys creative team as a whole.
- Receive the project brief, from the Client or from the Principal in charge, and take responsibility for the development of the design and the project, and co-ordinate the internal design & production team.
- Manage and prioritise tasks and time efficiently, including advising on the required project staffing and resources to meet the target project timeline and deliverables, and coordinate with the assigned project manager or Director on matters of schedule.
- Carry out appropriate research in to the project context and brief, to ensure design proposals are appropriately pitched.
- Develop the narrative framework to form the basis of all future design proposals for the project.
- Develop the layout plans for all assigned areas within the project scope, and work with the assigned draughtsman in preparing the accurate CAD plans.
- Direct the assigned designers in the sourcing and compilation of appropriate images in to mood boards to define the aesthetics and ambience of all assigned areas.
- Work with the assigned designer to develop sketch elevations, which can be translated by the assigned draughtsman in to CAD drawings, with indication of all finishes.
- Direct the work of the assigned FF&E designers in the preparation of finishes boards with physical samples of all applicable materials, finishes and fabrics.
- Direct the work of the assigned FF&E designers in the selection of all necessary FF&E items, and advise on customisation as required to suit the project, taking in to consideration the project budget and timeline.
- Oversee the assigned designers in their coordination with in-house or outsource 3D visualisers, to translate the mood boards, drawings, and materials in to presentation-quality renderings.
- Make design presentations to Clients, Operators and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the assigned FF&E designer in the preparation of the FF&E specifications, and schedules for fabrics, finishes, artwork, accessories, hardware and sanitary fit tings.
- Liaise with the client's representatives, members of the external design team and other associated organisations, companies, suppliers and contractors, while building good relationships at all levels.
- Provide any guidance necessary to the assigned designers in their review and commenting on submissions by vendors and contractors, including material and finish samples, and shopdrawings.
- Attend inspections at contractor's/vendor's request, to review and comment on the FF&E production, including preparation of inspection report.
- Attend periodic project meetings and site visits at the client's request. This may include the preparation of minutes of meeting & site reports.
- Attend the final project setup and advise on placement of FF&E, artwork and accessories.
- Participate in the accessorisation and styling of the completed interiors, where the project scope requires.
- Seek continuing professional development through self-learning and research. Where appropriate, training may be provided by the company.
- Develop and maintain the skilled use of the following: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
