Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Developer Relations Manager to lead community engagement, raise awareness, and foster contributions to our projects within the AI and broader tech communities. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for open-source development, AI, and community-building. You should be comfortable connecting with both technical and non-technical audiences, cultivating a community that shares our vision. Your main responsibilities will include managing our global community, building brand awareness, and driving active collaboration around our open-source AI models and tools.
Job Description
Community Engagement & Growth
- Develop and share toy software projects, demos, and hands-on examples to showcase the practical applications of our models, making them accessible and engaging for the developer community.
- Foster and maintain a vibrant, inclusive community of AI researchers, data scientists, engineers, developers, and enthusiasts to drive awareness and engagement with our models, APIs, datasets, and tools.
- Define and execute strategies for community growth, engagement, and to maintain high retention rates.
- Oversee community platforms (e.g., Discord, Twitter) and moderate discussions to ensure productive, inclusive, and respectful interactions.
- Organize community events, including online forums, webinars, and hackathons, to drive participation and contributions.
- Create pathways for diverse contributions, ensuring a mix of knowledge, skills, and experiences within the community.
Marketing & Awareness
- Design and implement marketing initiatives to increase awareness of our models, tools, and contributions within AI, tech, and academic communities, both locally and globally.
- Amplify our work through social media, blogs, newsletters, and partnerships with relevant organizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce engaging content (tutorials, blogs, research updates, etc.) that communicates our mission and encourages community adoption and contribution.
- Partner with conferences, events, and online platforms to extend the project's visibility
Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report on key community and marketing metrics, such as membership growth, engagement, contributions, retention, etc.
- Use data insights and community feedback to refine and enhance engagement strategies continuously.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Developer Relations, Community Management, Marketing, or a related role, ideally within the tech or open-source space.
- Technical proficiency to create small software projects, demos, or proofs of concept (POCs) that inspire and engage the community.
- In-depth understanding of open-source communities and familiarity with AI/ML technologies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively connect with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with managing social media platforms, community forums (e.g., Discord), and organizing community events.
- Passion for AI, open-source development, and community-driven innovation.
- Fluency in Thai and English is a plus, as our project operates bilingually
