Job Purpose

The main purpose of the job is to work on long term product development to help develop new products for the South East Asian packaging coatings market. In addition, the scope of the job also includes the other duties including, but not limited to safety, product stewardship, manufacturing support.

Key Accountabilities

  • Project Work- Technical Stage Gates. - Chemist will own a technical project that may be a new product, or a modification for a next generation product. - Conduct lab development to build data for the product rollout and introduction. 2. Product transfers - The chemist may own a product transfer of a new technology to the SEA region, and be tasked with becoming the technical owner during rollout. 3. Product, documentation management. - Chemist will support scale up, including first batch manufacturing supervision and commercial roll out data/support.

Experience

  • At least University Graduate with a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related degree - At least 1 year of experience in metal packaging coatings or at least 3 years experience in related industry if not metal packaging coatings. - Experience in R&D or technical service is a plus. - Good communication and problem solving skills - Good computer skills - Can communicate in verbal and written English - Ability to handle multi-task jobs - Ability to work independently
