Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced tutor to provide face-to-face lessons on a part-time basis to our pupils in Bangkok. The tutor will be responsible for enhancing the English skills of primary students, as well as preparing older pupils for entrance into international and UK schools. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed.

KeyResponsibilities:

1.High-Quality Tutoring:

• Provide face-to-face tutoring to primary years students focusing on English language development.
• Work with primary pupils on a range of skills, including reading development, listening, speaking, writing, and reading comprehension skills.
• Support senior pupils to improve their English language skills with a particular focus on extended writing, literary analysis, comprehension, exam entrance style tasks, and verbal reasoning.
• Prepare students for exams they may have to take as part of the UK and international school entrance process, including the ISEB Common Pre-Test for the UK, with a focus on verbal reasoning and English.
• Ensure punctuality and maintain high attendance rates for all scheduled tutoring sessions.

2.Support & Development:

• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
• Set appropriate homework after each lesson to reinforce learning objectives.
• Mark homework regularly and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Write a short report after each lesson, documenting student progress and areas for improvement.
• Track student development and share academic data with educational team on a regular basis to monitor pupil progress.
• Maintain open communication with parents and the educational team.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on educational best practices and entrance exam requirements.
• Work on additional reasoning skills such as non-verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and spatial reasoning, or demonstrate a willingness to upskill in these areas.

Qualifications and work experience:

- Bachelor's degree or higher.

- Native speaker of English (or equivalent fluency).

- Teaching experience in a classroom setting is essential. Experience working in a high-performing British curriculum school is desirable.

- Familiarity with the British education system and independent school entrance process (including ISEB Common Pre-Test, UKiset and CAT4.)

Offer:

We offer a part-time role paid by the hour at a competitive rate. Whilst it is envisaged that the majority of tutoring sessions will be conducted in-person, there may be the opportunity for some online sessions.
