Job Title: Facilities Manager EMS Cleanroom
Job Summary:
A leading EMS company is seeking an experienced Facility Manager with expertise in managing cleanroom facilities, greenfield factory projects, and the operation, maintenance of substations and other critical infrastructure such as HVAC. This role oversees facility operations, energy efficiency, and contractor management while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Facility Manager will play a key role in supporting the setup and ongoing operations of a new factory, ensuring all systems function efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations and Maintenance:
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Lead the operation and maintenance of substations up to 115kV to ensure uninterrupted power supply and compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate shutdowns for planned maintenance and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.
Cleanroom Facility Management:
- Manage cleanroom operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards for environmental and contamination control.
- Oversee outsourced services for janitorial staff, maintenance engineers, and contractors supporting cleanroom functions.
- Drive energy-saving initiatives to optimize cleanroom efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Greenfield Project Management:
- Lead the development and commissioning of the new factory, ensuring facility infrastructure aligns with operational requirements.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Energy and Space Optimization:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency across the facility, focusing on cost reduction and sustainability.
- Manage space utilization, ensuring optimal layouts and allocation to meet evolving operational needs.
Compliance and ISO Standards:
- Ensure facility operations adhere to relevant ISO standards, maintaining documentation, quality controls, and audit readiness.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to uphold high safety and operational standards.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Supervise outsourced contractors for maintenance, janitorial services, and specialised facility support.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in facility management, including cleanroom environments, greenfield projects, and high-voltage substation operations.
- Proven experience in managing greenfield and brownfield projects from planning to completion.
- Strong knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in energy management, space planning, and contractor management.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Certifications in facility management, energy management, or ISO auditing.
- Familiarity with facility management software such as AutoCAD, BMS (Building Management Systems), BIM (Building Information Modeling), and SMART systems.
