Factory Operation Director
Job Overview
The Factory Operation Director will manage all aspects of the factory's daily operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, cost saving and new process improvement. This role ensures that the factory operates efficiently, meets production targets, and complies with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
- Oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring that production schedules are met.
- Implement and monitor production KPIs to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and manage production plans, budgets, and forecasts.
2. Quality Control
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and maintain quality management systems and processes.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
3. Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance of factory equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
4. Workforce Management
- Lead and manage the factory workforce, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
6. Health and Safety
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the factory complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training and drills.
7. Continuous Improvement and Cost Saving
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Initiate and or drive cost saving project
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management.
- Proven track record of managing a large FMCG or automotive manufacturing facility.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in using ERP systems and manufacturing software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
