As a Field Service Technician for Motion business, you will be responsible for executing service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines.
Reporting to Service Team Leader, you will be delivering excellent customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.
This position is based in Rayong, Thailand.
Your responsibilities
- Performing service tasks, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in any service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.)
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation. Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understands their needs. Identifying new sales opportunities and communicating them internally
- Coordinating, preparing and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities
- Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed
- Identifying potential equipment failures and requests proactive corrective actions. Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
- Identifying suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicates them further in the ABB organization. Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service
Your background
- Diploma in power electrical, mechanic, automobile and other related fields
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the field
- Able to travel to work at the customer sites, in up country area
- Understanding services business strategies and customer requirements to support the business growth
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
