Our client is a global Industrial Manufacturing and Trading company based in Chonburi, Thailand and they are seeking a talented Financial Controller to join their team. The Financial Controller Position will be accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The Controller must also construct and monitor those cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing.
Responsibilities
- Manage all Accounting Operations Including AP, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Standard variances
- Coordinate the preparation of Statutory Regulatory Reporting for Thailand Authorities
- Research Technical Accounting Issues for Compliances
- Ensure Quality Control Over Financial Transactions and Financial Reporting
- Manage and Comply with Local, State and Federal Government Reporting and Tax Filling
- Compile and analyse financial info to Standard Annual Standard Costing Roll Process
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the Budget and Financial Forecast and Report Variances
- Preparing and Publishing Timely Monthly Financial Statements
- Coordinate of Cycle Count Audit Process and Specific Physical Inventory counts
- Develop and Analysis of the Gross Profit Report at Standard Level
- Develop and Understanding of the profitability report by Product Family
- Assist in month end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
- Maintain Internal Control documentation and test internal Controls
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
- Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close
- Work with the materials Dept. to locate and dispose of Excess and Obsolete inventory
- Measure, Monitoring and Analyze Cost Reduction Projects as compared to expectations. Traditional Cost Savings Plans
- Work in special Financial Projects as required
- Collaborate with the Payroll group to ensure that all deductions and Payroll Activities and compliance with Payroll laws
- Coordinate Fixed Asset activities with physical inventory and process audits
- Review Intercompany Billing to parent Companies, including the follow up payments
- Financial Analysis for New Projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
- Knowledge of the Accounting Principles and Procedures
- Experience with General Ledger Functions and the month end / Year end close process
- Excellent Accounting Software user and Administration Skills
- 8 to 12 years experience with manufacturing companies in positions with responsibility in areas such as cost accounting, profitability analysis and manufacturing cost reductions
- Strong Understand Local and Federal Taxes
- Understanding of manufacturing standard cost accounting and inventory valuation
- Demonstrated proficiency in accessing information from ERP systems. SAP Knowledge or Equivalent Software Systems
- Proficiency in Excel for modeling and analysis
- Experience in partnering with operations to develop and implement cost reduction plans
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Fluent use of English and Thai Language
