Freelance Japanese into Thai Gaming Translator

TransPerfect Gaming Solutions is looking for long term freelance Japanese into Thai Gaming translator to join us to provide client support on gaming localization projects in a dynamic and exciting environment. You will be translating the next big hit game from small independent development teams all the way to AAA game titles from industry heavyweights!

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Native level skills in Thai.
• Passion for games.
• Prior experience in playing games in Thai for at least 2 years AND still playing games currently.
• Experienced in Japanese into Thai Translation / Localization within Gaming industry.
• Familiar with gaming terminologies.
• Familiar with different gaming genres.
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• The ability to work well in a team environment.
• The drive, positive attitude and ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced, innovative and creative environment.

Candidates MUST also have any ONE of the following:

A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education;

2 years of translation experience and a college degree;

5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or

A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Applicants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete a Translation test.
