My client is an international supplier of chemicals to multiple industries.
They currently have an opening for a General Manager based in Rayong, Thailand.
As General Manager you will have complete Profit & Loss responsibility, including manufacturing operations, for the whole business in Thailand, as well as Southeast Asia region (excluding India).
This role will lead the development and execution of the company's long term strategy for its market, develop its leadership team, drive key initiatives to further develop its business as well as oversee the day-to-day management of my client's Thailand business. It will also manage a multi-disciplined team.
Duties will include:
- Strategy & Business Planning
- Business Development, Sales and Marketing
- People Leadership, Talent management & HR (35 staff)
- Commercial and Administrative Leadership
- Operations Leadership
- Public Affairs and Stakeholder Management
The ideal candidate should:
- Be a senior executive with a minimum of 12+ years of work experience
- Have experience in a Profit & Loss leadership role with at least country-level responsibility within a medium sized international corporation
- Have 5+ years of leadership / sales experience with a proven track record in the South East Asia market in the automotive industry
- Have successfully completed studies focused on technical or business administration aspects. An additional commercial qualification (e.g. MBA) would be a plus
- Have proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing business strategy (country level operations) in accordance with overall global strategic directions, within an international corporation
- Strong business acumen and global mindset, a role model with clear strategic impact and direction
- Strong sense of personal drive, execution power and problem-solving skills
- High commitment and persistence
- Strong communicator with ability to influence at all levels. A leadership and communication style that suits the local setting in Thailand
- Fluent in written and verbal English. Thai language is an advantage.
