Alcott Global is currently working with a global consumer goods company to search for their Global Director of Operations Excellence to be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, with a strong background in manufacturing and a proven track record of implementing operational excellence initiatives on a global scale. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, quality, safety and productivity across all departments and locations, as well as the data transformation of operations & supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and other members of the executive team, including but not limited to the Head of R&D the head of Quality Affairs, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform decision-making.
- Create and drive an Operational Excellence transformation roadmap, including Best in Class Culture
- Lead the development and implementation of global operations excellence strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement throughout the entire supply chain, from sourcing and procurement to production, distribution, and logistics. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline processes and improve overall effectiveness.
- Utilize extensive experience in manufacturing to drive excellence in production processes, quality control, and operational efficiency. Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other continuous improvement tools to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing team, focusing on maximizing efficiency, quality, and compliance with global food safety and regulatory standards.
- Implement best practices for lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence to streamline production processes and reduce waste, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operations and track progress towards goals. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of operational excellence initiatives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and empower teams to embrace change and drive innovation.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, operations teams, supply chain management, procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to drive alignment and achieve shared objectives.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of operations excellence professionals. Provide coaching, training, and guidance to build capabilities and drive professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with a focus on supply chain optimization and manufacturing excellence.
- Proven track record of implementing operational excellence initiatives and driving measurable results in a global manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change management efforts and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Experience working in a multinational corporation or global supply chain environment is highly desirable.
- A willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
