Job Summary:

The Head of Engineering will lead and manage the work of those responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing high-technology electronics manufacturing technical processes and equipment, provide engineering & people leadership to achieve product cost/quality/delivery goals, support for all manufacturing technical issues related to the customer's product(s) from product conception to product obsolescence. Ensure comprehensive evaluations, optimization, and trade-offs occur for all DFX issues with suppliers, customers, supply chain, and equipment leaders to deliver a cost-optimized total manufacturing solution across a broad scope of manufacturing sectors.

We expect the Engineering Director to be an influential leader in effective collaboration between teams within Celestica & represent Celestica's engineering brand by effectively participating in industry organizations.

Reporting Structure: The Head of Engineering will report directly to the Celestica Head of Global Operations and will manage the various Engineering functions in Thailand. The role will also involve collaborating closely with other departments, such as production, quality, and supply chain, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Key Deliverables:

• Lead and manage the engineering team in Thailand to achieve product cost, quality, and delivery goals.
• Provide technical expertise and leadership for all manufacturing technical issues related to customer products.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
• Represent Celestica's engineering brand by participating in industry organizations.

Requirements:

• Around 15 years of experience in complex and high-performance PCBA manufacturing engineering, including process design, capability validation and controls, inspection process controls (X-ray, AOI, ICT, etc.), press fit processes, error-proofing, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Expertise in back-end assembly, focusing on the design of lean, efficient, error-proofed, and inspection systems.
• Experience in equipment, tooling, fixture design, and qualification.
• Proficiency in test engineering, including test equipment and test script development, troubleshooting, and test efficiency.
• Advanced knowledge in manufacturing process development and application engineering interface with customers.
• Strong project management skills.
• Extensive engineering network and industry knowledge of cutting-edge technology.
• Strong people and management skills.
• A strong customer focus and dealing with clients.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering.
