We are seeking an experienced Head of Legal Department to build and lead our legal team. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement legal strategies that align with our business objectives while ensuring compliance with Thai laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of legal experience, including significant leadership experience, and possess a deep understanding of Thai corporate law.
Working Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the legal department, including hiring and managing a team.
- Create legal strategies and processes that support the company's business goals and ensure compliance with Thai laws.
- Advise on legal issues related to contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property, and employment law.
- Ensure the company complies with all local, regional, and international regulations.
- Manage relationships with external legal advisors, regulators, and government agencies.
- Handle legal disputes and mitigate risks to protect the company.
- Work closely with senior leaders to provide legal advice for business decisions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in Thai law and ensure the company adapts as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B); a Master's degree or advanced legal qualification is a plus.
- 10+ years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in building a legal team from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of Thai corporate law and compliance.
- Fluent in both Thai and English.
