Responsibilities
- Its a P&L head role for leading a team to exponentially growing business on marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Pepperfry etc. And add new channels / MPs to drive growth
- Head the P&L for the marketplaces and deliver on the business plan
- Youll identify opportunities for growth within existing e-commerce accounts like Amazon & Flipkart, and develop new Marketplace customers
- Youll define and implement e-commerce and marketing strategies
- Youll be responsible for managing product development in line with future listing opportunities
- Commercial and business savvy
- Should be a leader to manage a team of 10+ people
- Devising strategies that harness sales-related insights, prevailing standards, and new developments to encourage sales in different marketplaces.
- Managing the PnL of the brand with unit economics on different channels.
- Develop category management and product strategy, allowing for market specialization to optimize marketplace penetration and maximize net profit
- Work closely with leadership on planning and business strategy, drive best-in-class customer experience, and maximize unit and revenue growth through timely analysis and action.
- Build and manage a team of marketplace account managers, marketplace executives & PPC specialists.
- Drive seasonal marketing plan process, to manage in-season trading activity with the support of the region marketing and merchandise planning teams
- Drive asset requirements, marketing needs to support the range of brand, category, product, and editorial needs.
- Ensure appropriate levels of analytics are created, reviewed, and reported that inform decision-making around assortment building, country requirements, and seller improvement
Desired Skill Set
- 4+ years of experience in marketplace category management with at least 2+ as a Marketplace Manager or above
- Ownership of category strategy and implementation of product strategy
- Experience building a brand, inclusive of having a strong understanding of consumer and product
- Ability to analyze situations and make difficult informed decisions
- A proven track record in the management of significant business change
- Knowledge of analytics and systems to support appropriate planning of product requirements Sales cycle management and processes
- Data analytics, different keyword research tools.
