YOUR FUTURE TASKS
- Vendor/supplier management
- Develop and optimize procurement process in FCL / LCL ocean product
- Carriers selection base on cost efficiency and corporate alignment
- Conduct commercial rate negotiations with ocean carriers to ensure cost effective transportation services
- Maintain long-term relationships with ocean carriers and key transportation vendors
- Strong networking in the Container Shipping Industry
- Provide commercial support to Sales and Inter-company RFQ's / Tender
- Maintain FMS purchase rates in the Company's operating system SEASTEP
- Problem solving and troubleshootingAdhere to Company's guidelines, goals and objectives
- Ad hoc duties, as and when required
- Report to the Company's General Manager in Thailand
YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in local logistics procurement
- Strong negotiating skills
- Good knowledge in Freight Forwarding and experience in the Container Shipping Industry
- Diligent, pro-active, self-motivation, self-confident, open-minded and out-going
- Able to work independently and lead in a cross-cultural and problem-solving skills
- Strong logical thinking and analytical ability
- Trade lane experience in Far East- Westbound, TPEB and Intra-Asia trades is of advantage
- Team player with proactive work attitude
- Good knowledge in MS Office suite
- Thai nationals only with good command in English
