Our client is a technology-driven logistics company that has established a significant presence in Southeast Asia, including Thailand. They are specialised in Domestic and cross-border trucking transportation which provide seamless services to international company.
Job Description
- Develop and Maintain Relationships: Establish and sustain strong connections with logistics providers to ensure optimal service delivery and cost-efficiency. Engage in regular communication and meetings with providers to align on service expectations and performance.
- Negotiate Contracts and Rates: Secure favourable terms and conditions with truckers through effective negotiation. Continuously manage and nurture relationships with designated truckers to maintain service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Cost Reduction and Strategic Sourcing: Identify and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve cost reductions. Implement measures to optimise procurement spending and enhance overall efficiency.
- Qualification and Problem Resolution: Conduct on-site visits to trucker facilities to qualify them as new sources. Address and resolve any issues that arise during inspections and operational assessments.
- Standard Operating Procedures and Compliance: Develop, implement, and regularly review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they align with best practices and compliance requirements. Work across various functions to deliver high-quality procurement solutions and ensure new vendors and truckers are effectively sourced and integrated.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain or related subjects
- At least 8 years of experience in vendor management position in 3PL company
- Strong knowledge and Experience in contract negotiation, Logistics, transportation, freight forwarder, supply chain or related field.
- Strong willingness to learn with good attitude
- Strong in English communication skills is mandatory
