Job Description
KPMGs Customs group is a tax practice within the Indirect Tax division that develops and helps implement customs and international trade services for clients in a variety of industries, including the pharmaceutical, textile, automotive, electronics, food/retail distribution and global manufacturing industries. In delivering these trade and customs services, KPMGs professionals endeavor to add value to clients businesses by focusing on duty savings and customs compliance initiatives to facilitate bottom-line cash savings, reduce potential exposure from customs compliance violations, and improve operational efficiencies
Responsibilities
- Provide assistances to managers in handling clients assignments
- Review tariff classification, customs valuation, customs and BOI formalitiesand compliance, customs privileges compliance, import tax planning andexcise tax compliance
- Conduct a research on local and international trade laws and regulationsthat may have an impact to the client
- Communicate with trade & customs-related government authorities inorder to facilitate clients work
- Prepare documents by using appropriate business terms and technicallanguage.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Legal, Accounting, Economics or relatedfields.
- Working experience in customs, logistics, export & import or internationaltrade field is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation capability with ability tocompromise and negotiation.
- Good command of English
- Computer literacy especially Microsoft Office
