Job Description

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to manage general IT support tasks in our office. This role involves ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, managing software licenses (primarily Microsoft Office), setting up and decommissioning workstations for new and departing employees, and conducting regular user access rights reviews. The ideal candidate will also have an interest in learning infrastructure operations as they grow within the role.

Responsibilities :

  • General IT Support: Provide daily IT support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Software License Management: Maintain and manage Microsoft Office licenses, ensuring compliance and assisting with any related queries.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Set up workstations, laptops, and accounts for new hires, and securely decommission hardware and accounts for departing employees.
  • User Access Rights: Regularly review and manage user access rights to ensure security and compliance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licenses, and configurations, updating documentation as needed.
  • Infrastructure Learning & Support: As time allows, assist with infrastructure operations tasks such as server maintenance, network troubleshooting, and system monitoring, with opportunities to learn and develop skills in this area.

Qualifications :

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and license management.
  • Experience with onboarding/offboarding processes and setting up user accounts.
  • Familiarity with user access rights management.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, etc.) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to assist staff with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
