Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Data Science Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive Data Science Strategy that aligns with Sri Trang Group's business objectives and AI transformation goals.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: define and standardize methods to analyze large datasets related to manufacturing, office operations, and sales to extract meaningful insights and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Spearhead the usage of statistical and machine learning techniques to interpret data and support decision-making processes across the company.
- Model Development: Lead End-to-end development of predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and enhance operational efficiency across the company. Continuously improve model performance through iterative testing, validation, and feedback gathering.
- Data Preparation: With your team, develop and standardize proper procedures for cleaning, preprocessing, and transforming raw data into structured formats suitable for analysis. Ensure data quality and consistency across different sources.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights, AI/ML solutions, and integrate data science solutions into business processes across the company.
- Reporting and Visualization: With your team, define and standardize methods to create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI to communicate findings and insights to non- technical stakeholders. Use Power BI to present data in an accessible format.
- Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI. Apply new techniques and technologies to enhance existing models and develop innovative solutions.
- Documentation and Training: Document data science processes, methodologies, and models to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing across the company. Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data tools and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: 6-9 (4-7 with PhD) years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related role, with at least 3 years of experience in leadership roles. Hands-on experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques, and proven skills to deliver production ready code and solutions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Strong knowledge of machine learning libraries and data manipulation tools.
- Preferred Tech Stack: Experience with Microsoft Azure for data storage, processing, and machine learning. Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Good knowledge or Experience in: NLP, GenAI, computer vision, preventive maintenance, forecasting, multi-task learning, reinforcement/supervised/unsupervised learning.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a high-performing team. Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering quality results on time and within budget.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Thai and English is a plus.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver data- driven solutions.
- Visualization Skills: Proficiency in Power BI to create clear and informative visualizations to communicate insights.
