Maintenance Supervisor
The purpose of the job
The Maintenance Supervisor manages and oversees the accomplishment of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and overhaul programs. This position is responsible for day by day(s) activities in the depot workshop. The Maintenance Supervisor is also the hierarchical manager for a group of maintenance technicians. The position will be based on a shift system to support a 24hours, 7 days a week management.

Responsibilities
- Leading the Safety culture required to ensure Zero LTA's
- Review workloads and assign appropriate staff to complete the preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and inspections of the subsystems under Alstom scope of work in a timely fashion
- Responsible for service activity on subsystems including installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing and repair.
- Manage maintenance execution activities following the technical instructions, maintenance manuals and technical documentation provided by the manufacturer.
- Conduct the toolbox talks/Safety talks/Daily talks at the start and end of each shift
- Act as shift leader in the depot workshop or wayside locations, leading the technicians team
- Monitor equipment servicing repairs, by auditing staff and completed tasks
- Ensure appropriate material tooling is made available to the technicians team to expedite the planned work orders.
- Plan work schedules and assignments to ensure that subsystems are being serviced within the maintenance guidelines
- Monitor work order completion using Maximo and ensure time booking is accurate
- Act as a mentor to the service technicians giving advice and technical support on defect handling and repair
- Assist with the development of solutions to technical issues that arise on the fleet
- Perform first line corrective maintenance and/or troubleshooting when required
- Participate in maintenance plan reviews
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
- Performs troubleshooting and advise team for ensure that train go back to revenue service.
- Provide technical reports to management and suppliers on vehicle related issues, performance, and improvement initiatives.
- Manage the team in charge to meet the objectives established by the management
Experience
- 5 to 7 years experience in Maintenance, Rolling stock and Overhaul Management, Depot Equipment and/or Track Switches Maintenance
- Other industries such as Oil&Gas, aviation maintenance, marine maintenance will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Good knowledge of electrical or mechanical. Such as read circuit diagram, schematic, etc.
- Able to work on shift
- People Management Skills, good team player
Educational Requirements
Study in vocational Diploma Electrical/Mechanical or related technical field.
