POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of Director - Operations Thailand, this position is responsible for driving VES methodologies with accountability through daily management of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, People, 5S and VES related subjects in Operations - Supply Chain & Logistics department.
This position will manage a team responsible for import/export logistics, procurement, order and inventory management, warehousing, and customer service, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all supply chain activities, including warehousing, transportation, and handling of goods including dangerous goods and hazardous chemicals, comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) teams to ensure compliance with national and local safety regulations.
- Work closely with Trade Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with international regulations, including IATA (International Air Transport Association), IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods), and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards for the transport of hazardous materials.
- Maintain updated knowledge of global safety regulations and ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation for all dangerous goods and hazardous chemicals.
- Ensure safety protocols for handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials, reducing the risk of incidents and ensuring compliance with local, national, and international laws.
Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, from procurement to the delivery of instruments and consumables including dangerous goods and hazardous chemicals to customers.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, ensure safety, reduce costs, and achieve KPI targets.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, third-party logistics providers, and hazardous material handling services to ensure compliant and timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee both inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with national and international hazardous material transport regulations.
Order Fulfillment:
- Oversee the entire order fulfillment process, from receipt of customer orders to the final delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Coordinate with sales, production, and customer service teams to prioritize and process orders, ensuring alignment between demand and production capacity.
- Track key order fulfillment metrics (e.g., lead times, delivery accuracy) and implement improvements to streamline processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, production efficiency, order fulfillment lead times, and cost per shipment to make data-driven decisions.
- Continuously evaluate supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in production planning, order fulfillment, and demand forecasting.
Demand Planning & Forecasting:
- Develop and implement demand planning processes to accurately forecast customer demand using historical data, market trends, and sales forecast inputs.
- Analyze demand variability and ensure that production and inventory levels are adjusted accordingly to meet changing customer needs while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
- Collaborate with customers, order managers, and procurement teams to adjust forecasts based on promotional activities, seasonal trends, and market dynamics.
Distribution Center & Inventory Management:
- Lead operations of the distribution center and warehouse team, focusing on the safe storage, handling, and distribution of dangerous goods and hazardous chemicals.
- Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs and preventing obsolescence or stockouts.
- Implement inventory control processes, such as just-in-time (JIT) practices, to reduce excess stock and improve working capital.
- Ensure accurate tracking of inventory throughout the supply chain, from raw materials to finished products, including the safe storage of dangerous goods and hazardous chemicals.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, including logistics coordinators, warehouse staff, production planners, and demand forecasters.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement across all teams involved in order fulfillment, production planning, and logistics.
- Conduct performance reviews, implement training, and drive career development initiatives to build a high-performing team.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between order management, production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on production schedules, demand forecasts, and customer order priorities.
- Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance, including order fulfillment, production capacity, and demand planning metrics, to senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in in supply chain management, with a focus on order fulfillment, production planning, and demand forecasting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Expertise in master planning, scheduling, material & inventory management, and demand planning methodologies.
- Strong knowledge and experienced with development and deploying supply chain management systems (SCM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and warehouse management systems (WMS), order management system (OMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and external partnership management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on collaboration and performance improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with import/export regulations, free zone compliance, and distribution center operations related to hazardous materials is advantageous.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations (IATA, IMDG, DOT), hazardous chemical handling, and safety protocols is advantageous.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS:
The duties and responsibilities are generally performed in office environment and warehouse.
Daily activities may involve hazardous chemical in proximity.
The position generally involves frequent sitting, occasional standing, occasional walking.
The environmental conditions generally include ambient inside temperature with sufficient lighting levels.
The occasional use of protective clothing, ESD and PPE is required in accordance with workplace conditions.
