As a Nurse Practitioner at Medical House Calls, you'll oversee the health management of our patients and provide leadership and support to our clinic's operations and staff. This role is pivotal in sustaining our mission of bringing health services to where they are most convenient: our patients homes, hotels, and vacation rentals.
Your Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical exams, and assessment of health status.
- Develop and document comprehensive care plans, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Administer and prescribe treatments such as injections, immunizations, and medications, complying with legal standards.
- Perform routine procedures, including suturing, lab draws, IV administration, and radiological testing.
- Coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and communication of test results.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive practices.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
- Maintain certification in Basic Life Support and continuously develop professional skills.
Your Required Skills And Abilities
- Advanced clinical skills for physical assessments and management of both acute and chronic conditions.
- Strong collaboration capabilities with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in managing a high volume of patients in a fast-paced setting.
- Deep knowledge of primary and urgent care practices, medical terminology, and coding guidelines.
- Expertise in minor medical procedures and use of electronic health records.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a preference for those with urgent care or family practice background.
- Required educational credentials include a Master's degree in Nursing, board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a valid state license.
