About the Role

ALP has been evolving and pioneering comprehensive automated logistics solutions in Taiwan and Southern East Asia. As a key member of the ALP Thailand team, you will play a pioneering role, working alongside an international group of professionals. In this role, you will be involved from the preliminary design stage through to the completion of construction for Smart Logistics Park projects. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to manage these projects effectively, ensuring that MEP systems are delivered with high quality, within budget, and on schedule, optimizing resources throughout the development process in Thailand.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and resolve design and construction matters with the main contractor, consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers, and/or relevant authorities to ensure the smooth progress of the projects.
  • Assist the team including design, cost & contract and construction with construction site management of engineering project safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
  • Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, material samples, mock-up and other related submittals by the design and build contractor (with the support of design review consultant) to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications, making sure the MEP system integrate smoothly into overall building designs.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction, including change orders and design modifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for timely delivery and installation of MEP equipment and materials.
  • Ensure the adherence to design specifications and quality standards are as per approved design, method statement and use of materials, etc.
  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring they operate as intended.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications, including equipment schedules, materials for business development and marketing purposes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for MEP works including the project execution plan, quality assurance plan, and safety & health Plan.
  • Document all MEP-related activities, including as-built drawings and operation manuals.
  • Liaise closely with the main contractor, subcontractors, suppliers, and specialists on documentation, drawings, specifications, and other duties required to execute projects.
  • Assist in compiling weekly/monthly work progress reports (if required) and other reports to update the Project Director/Top Management.
  • Assist in providing input on design, cost / budgeting estimation, value engineering to optimize project cost without compromising quality as when required.
  • Offer post-construction support and advice to facility managers or building operators regarding MEP systems.
  • Any and all other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the superior / management.

What skills are required...

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in industrial development projects.
  • Knowledge and experience with local Thai Authority processes, legal requirements, and environmental, health and safety practices
  • Able to travel to the site on a 2-3 times weekly basis
  • Required languages (spoken and written) Thai and English. With Mandarin oral & written communication skills will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
