As a SEA and Air Export Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating international shipments via sea and air, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing export documentation, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. You will be instrumental in optimizing supply chain processes, maintaining strong relationships with vendors, and providing exceptional customer service.
Functions
- Shipment arrangement including pickups, booking tracking of cargo to be on time delivery.
- Coordinate with customers and sales to ensure that all relevant documentation is accurate and complete.
Mandatory timely correspondence with overseas agents.
- Maintain current customers and establish potential new export business through competitive pricing and strong
orientation toward customer service. Initiate cargo freight claims when applicable.
- Review documentation against Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SI) and/or Letter of Credit for accuracy
- Confirm on board with carriers and communicate with Customer
- Send Pre-Alert to destination.
- Distribute documents and make copies in accordance with shipper's, and/or destination country requirements.
- Assure that file contains all necessary document copies in proper sequence.
- Ensure that payable and receivable documents are completed accurately and forwarded on time.
- Trace shipment through all transit points up to final destination (where applicable) and advise Customer of any
irregularities.
- Ensure highest level of data quality by processing the shipment accurately.
- Other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Required knowledge and skills 2-year experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of export procedures, and domestic and international geography is a must.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to work effectively under pressure are necessary.
- Well versed in local compliance and export / import regulations
- Strong computer skills are expected.
