SS&C Managed Funds Administration (MFA) is the largest provider of Unit Registry services in Australia, providing Fund Manager, Custodians and end to end service offering.

The Digital Registry team is on a mission to streamline the process of managed fund investment for Investors and Advisors by leveraging our advanced digital solutions. Our commitment is to provide an efficient and user-friendly platform that simplifies the investment process.
What is the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team, ideally someone who has a passion for Quality Engineering. If you care about delivering high-quality products to customers and are willing to go above and beyond to automate and integrate different testing approaches that span across the full SDLC then we want to talk to you!
While you will have the opportunity to build products that solve key problems in the Managed Fund investment space, you will also help establishing the technical direction of Quality Engineering within the Engineering space by championing and demonstrating modern software engineering & QA principles and practices, promoting a Product-led mindset and role modeling critical-thinking and maturity within and outside your team.
What you'll do
- Contribute to delivering key strategic product and technology roadmap initiatives.
- Create high quality and scalable software and influence others to do the same.
- Contribute to developing and improving Digital Registry team's engineering standards and frameworks with particular focus on Quality Engineering.
- Proactively participate in team's Discovery and Refinement activities
- Effectively identifies opportunities to remove waste and automate manual processes.
- Design and execute the implementation of a Digital Testing Strategy
- Pioneer innovative approaches to further improve the quality of our software products
- Deeply care about Customer problems and technical excellence
What you'll bring
- Demonstrated experience of front and back-end development skills and technologies including 1 or more of the following:
- React / Typescript / JavaScript / CSS
- Java / Kotlin / Spring Boot
- Demonstrated Test automation experience with scripting across the different layers
- Demonstrated experience with automation testing frameworks / tools including:
- Browser based e.g. Selenium
- API testing Postman/SoapUI
- BDD Cucumber style tests (nice to have)
- Expert in building web applications using AWS services / technologies.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Demonstrated experience in Microservice and Micro-Frontend Architectures
- Experienced with modern software tooling such as CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins), Github, Datadog, code scanning tools such as Sonarqube.
- Solid understanding of the Agile Methodology and working experience in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
Education and qualification:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent industry experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer)
- Minimum 6 years experience in similar role(s)
