We are seeking a
PhD Trapped-ion Quantum Computing Theory Intern in our
Broomfield,
CO location.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply previous experience in research to help develop quantum computers using trapped ions as qubits
- Responsible for working in a research environment to analyze quantum computing protocols, such as quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Present scientific results at meetings or in publications
You Must Have
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program
- Graduating after December 2024
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. person (defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status)
We Value
- 2+ years experience (PhD inclusive) involving one or more of the following areas: atomic physics, quantum benchmarking, quantum information, quantum computing.
- Experience performing simulation and modeling to inform experiments
- Experience with constructing quantum circuits
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published results within their field of research
