In this position you will...
- spearhead innovative solutions for the food industry, guiding projects from concept to completion. This includes designing and developing specialized equipment that adheres to safety standards, while managing the project lifecycle through planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. You'll also identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and sustainability, while providing technical expertise to cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless integration of designs into operations and maintenance. Additionally, you'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful co-manufacturing initiatives
You will be responsible for...
- Lead project execution and technical improvements to meet industry standards (GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
- Develop, test, and implement innovative equipment, processes, and technologies to enhance system performance, functionality, and productivity
- Oversee project budgets, optimize resource allocation, manage schedules and scopes, and ensure consistent quality throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Provide effective supervision, ensuring the team adheres to professional operational and maintenance practices
- Train and guide employees at all levels on operating and maintaining new equipment
- Collaborate with co-manufacturers, stakeholders, and contractors to streamline operations, maintenance, and project execution at co-manufacturing sites
- Be prepared to handle ad-hoc tasks and demonstrate flexibility
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in a field relevant to the food industry, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical, or Food Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrably successful experience in design engineering within the food industry, FMCG, or a related field
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards, with a focus on the food industry or FMCG
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and project management tools
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with strong English language proficiency
