Job Description

A well-known automotive brand is seeking for Procurement Director who will oversee and manage all procurement activities, ensuring that the supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and vendor relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the company's objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to ensure competitive pricing and optimal contract terms.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align procurement activities with business goals.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers, ensuring they meet the brand standards for quality and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to achieve cost savings and value for the company.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering partnerships that benefit both parties.
  • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Implement and manage procurement software and tools to streamline operations.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement activities.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring expenditures are within approved limits.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, purchasing and vendor consolidation.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making.
  • Ensure that all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to resolve any supplier-related quality issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement strategies to improve team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement within automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and vendor negotiation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English
