Procurement Supervisor
Job Description
- Sourcing of new suppliers to support new projects as well as qualifying alternative suppliers for current projects
- Maintain approved supplier list, evaluating external suppliers on various criteria including quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost
- Oversee the supply chain activities from material planning, PO placement, to receiving of goods
- Propose cost saving initiatives, perform supplier negotiations to drive costs down
- Collaborate cross functionally with other departments such as engineering, customer service, and quality to ensure projects run smoothly and according to customer requirements and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with external parties such as customs, Thai FDA, freight forwarders, etc.
- Regularly communicate with suppliers in English via online meetings, supplier visits, exhibitions
- Constantly up to date with the industry technology trends, market situation, supply chain challenges, and is proactive about overcoming the challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or any related field
- 2-5+ years of work experience in supply chain, with focus on overseas suppliers and logistics
- Strong analytical skills
- Leadership qualities and teamwork mentality
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
