The Technical Product Owner of Platforms will be responsible for leading the technical development, operationalization and maintenance of composable platforms of scale that will support the Digital Channel requirements of the various Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands of the JFC Group in North American region.
With a focus on serving both internal customers and end consumers, your areas of responsibility will be in the following specific areas:
- Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Management : Collaborate closely with stakeholders to capture business needs and align platform capabilities with organizational goals
- Platform Development & Backlog Ownership : Manage and prioritize the platform development backlog, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of features that drive value
- Technical Platform Expertise & Consultancy : Serve as the subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and recommendations on platform architecture and best practices.
- Platform Deployment & Operationalisation : Oversee the successful deployment, integration, and collaborate with Program manager to operationalize platforms in the region, ensuring smooth execution.
Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Management
- Regional team Cross coordinate with regional teams for platform localization requirements, contribute to the prioritization of the regional backlog for platform customisation.
- Vendors Coordinate with engineering teams (both internal developers and external vendors) to deliver functional solutions.
- Global team Communicate out to the Global team on platform capabilities and the implementation roadmap.
Platform Ownership & Backlog Ownership
- Demonstrate ownership of Regional Composable Platforms by analyzing business requirements, functional system performance and identifying areas for enhancement.
- Lead the creation of user stories and technical requirements for the platform.
- Utilize data and metrics to make informed decisions about product features, improvements and prioritization.
- Participate or lead backlog grooming, sprint planning and sprint review for platform development.
- Work with internal stakeholders (business, QA, DT) to draft the acceptance criteria for user stories and features.
Technical Platform Expertise & Consultancy
- Drive value in the creation of new platform features, from ideation to platform rollout.
- Suggest product/platform enhancements to improve user experience, sales and operations efficiency.
- Provide technical consultation on platform capabilities and feasibility assessments for regional enhancement.
Platform Deployment & Operationalization
- Work with release management to ensure the successful deployment and configuration of platforms to meet requirements.
- Actively manage post deployment workstreams to ensure that all systems are functional and issues are identified and addressed by vendors
- Closely collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure the seamless operationalization of platforms and processes within the region. This includes aligning on timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, resolving any operational challenges, and ensuring that all regional requirements and regulatory standards are met.
Job Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT or related field.
Experience
- At least 5 years experience in a Technical Product Owner, Product Management, or similar technical leadership role.
- Proven experience in web/mobile app development, digital platform or e-commerce and platform integration
- Demonstrated success in backlog management, agile methodologies, and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Experience in gathering requirements and user stories as well as defining and providing a clear vision for the product platform.
- Experience in multi-culture environments.
