The successful candidate will work with the commercial, marketing, internal support, and technical teams to achieve the overall financial goal for the year. With strong knowledge and background in Next-Generation Sequencing market segment, the Technical Sales Specialist will strive to achieve assigned targets, strengthen customer relationships, drive growth and development within an existing customer base as well as expanding market penetration and profitability. Position summary
As a Technical Sales Specialist for Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a world-class organization. Your role will involve consulting with customers to improve technology utilization and promote advancements in protocols, kits, and capabilities. You'll collaborate with customers to establish relationships and focus on project needs, enhancing utilization of molecular testing technologies. Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a business plan to meet or exceed business goals
- Successfully compete to win projects against competitors
- Manage instrument install base and consumable utilization
- Enter accurate and complete customer data and sales information into the company sales database
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Genomics, or equivalent (PhD preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in Life Science sales or a related area, specifically in account management
- Extensive knowledge of clinical sequencing, molecular testing technologies, life science, oncology, and reproductive testing environment
- Excellent command of scientific knowledge to engage in collaborative sales process
- Relevant sales experience and expertise in the sale of CapEx lab instrumentation
- Strong communication and written command of English (technical) language
