R&D Agricultural Indochina Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced R&D Agricultural Science Manager to lead the development and optimization of potato crops specifically for the processing and crisping industry across the Indochina region. This role involves overseeing agricultural R&D initiatives, establishing best practices for crop cultivation, and collaborating with growers to enhance yield and quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in potato cultivation and be well-versed in the requirements for potatoes destined for processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research and development projects focusing on potato variety optimization for the processing/crisping industry, with an emphasis on yield, quality, and suitability for manufacturing standards.
- Develop and implement agronomy practices for optimal soil health, pest and disease control, and irrigation techniques tailored to potato crops in diverse environmental conditions.
- Identify and test new potato varieties that meet quality standards for processing, including crisping suitability, texture, and storage durability. Drive innovation in cultivation practices and crop protection methods.
- Promote sustainable agricultural practices across the region, ensuring long-term crop viability and compliance with corporate sustainability goals.
- Manage data collection from trials, analyze crop performance, and generate actionable insights for process improvements.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for R&D activities and trials.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agricultural Science, Crop Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in agricultural R&D, with a strong focus on potato cultivation, ideally in the processing or crisping industry.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience leading R&D initiatives
- Ability to collaborate with regional growers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Good command in English
