Reporting to the Managing Director, the Retail Director will be responsible for delivering the retail sales, customer proposition and operational execution in 240+ stores across Thailand.
The role will be strategic in driving the retail, pharmacy and operations platform that maximizes contribution to the profitability and development of the Boots Retail and Pharmacy business by driving sales and controlling costs.
Inspirational and leading-edge leadership ensuring colleagues and leaders are engaged and work collaboratively across the business. Whilst role modelling and bringing to life the company vision and purpose for our colleagues, this role will also focus on the future change strategy ensuring delivery of colleague, customer and patient centric best in class processes and practices.
As the leader of the stores, regulatory and operations teams, the role holder will set a clear values led leadership style that role models both in year progressive performance delivery and long term talent capability improvement. All whilst recognising and enhancing the diverse nature of our customer and colleague population.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the delivery of sales performance to agreed budgets across the retail store estate
- Deliver all key financial KPI's including salary control, total costs, retail and pharmacy loss and ultimately total profit in line with Boots Retail Thailand store targets
- Leads for the highest retailing and pharmacy standards ensuring all stores and pharmacies look and feel special whilst upholding safety for our colleagues, customers and patients
- Takes full accountability for the safety and patient care of the pharmacies across the UK upholding standards expected of a world class pharmacy led retailer
- Demonstrates and leads for a culture where everything is embedded with a deep understanding of the changing needs of customers and patients in offering them an unrivalled experience of customer care linked to our Feel Good Strategy
- Role models people leadership, developing great talent, creating a culture of learning to attract and retain the best people

- Extensive commercial and retail acumen and profile
- Strong leadership skills including nationwide teams and an ability to lead, drive and deliver change
- Experience and ability to manage large budgets
- Extensive external retail networks
- Ability to lead the thinking strategically to build and shape the future whilst bringing a sharp focus on the in-year and future plans
- Have a deep understanding of customers needs and expectations in varying market conditions and be able to respond their requirements whilst continuing to deliver unrivalled customer care
- Ability to inspire and lead large teams across the organisation to maximize performance and delivery of high standards of customer care

- Experience of and ability to deliver organizational change initiatives through to successful and sustained fruition
EXPERIENCE
- Significant retail and pharmacy experience
- Significant line management, and team management experience
- Strong retail experience at Executive / Senior Level
- Proven track record in developing and leading a high performing team
- Demonstrable relationship building and influencing skills: ability to easily build rapport whilst at the same time challenge with maturity and moral courage
- Motivate and inspire teams and individuals to champion and drive change within the business
- Expert advisor to executive teams
