JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the Risk Analytics, Capital, Profitability, Liquidity, and controls.
Main Responsibility
Risk Capital Framework
- Perform analysis on local solvency and provide key highlights, including validation of the solvency movements.
- Deep dive into risk exposure and risk factors on local solvency in order to manage according to the risk appetite.
- Support and manage the Regulatory (OIC) Stress Test exercises on Solvency and other topics.
- Review and Validate on the actuarial models, assumptions, and valuation results.
Risk Reporting
- Perform Solvency II capital valuation and reporting.
- Produce risk reports to the Regulator and Regional Office, including but not limited to Investment risk report and Liquidity risk report.
- Support in related Financial and Insurance risk reports for the Risk Management Committee.
Risk Governance
- Review, analyze and report the updates on Risk Appetite Framework. This involves establishing risk alerts and limits as and when required.
- Building controls on Company capital position, profitability, liquidity.
- Support in reviewing and implementing the Risk Management policies and guidelines.
Product governance and review
- Identify and assess risks related to proposed new products and partnership, including evaluation of profitability KPIs and relevant capital required.
Strategic Risk analysis
- Support the risk assessment on financial and insurance risks, including on Asset Liability Management (ALM), Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), Strategic Planning, Reinsurance and other strategic risk related topics and projects.
PREPARATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field
- Progressing in Actuarial Exams (SOA/IFOA) towards attaining the Associateship. Be noted that ASA is preferred, not required.
- At least 4 to 6 years working experience in Actuarial Valuation and Products Pricing.
- Familiar with accounting principles, planning and controlling, insurance operations and legal framework.
- Life insurance products knowledge
- Good in Problem solving and Analytical skill; Project management skill; Communication skill
- Good team player and working with other departments
- Able to work under pressure with less supervision
- Good command in written and spoken English
- Computer literacy: Prophet, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power point, etc)
